My grandfather, Mr. Tulsi Das ji, began his journey as a shoemaker in a factory at Dev Nagar, Delhi. Later, he went on to establish his own kaarakhaana (factory) in the same area as Standard footwear.
Started Exporting
We soon expanded our horizons beyond India, exporting premium leather footwear to international markets such as Russia, the United States, and Germany, in collaboration with the prestigious State Trading Corporation.
BATA Collaboration And Best Manufacturer
In 1982, we partnered with Bata, and by 1985, rose to become their most trusted manufacturer.

Standard Shoe Factory
After refocusing on the domestic market in 1993, Standard Shoe Factory was spectacularly reinvented in 2007 by my father, Mr. Pradeep Kumar — a Gold Medallist in Footwear Designing from CFTI Institute — who fused heirloom craftsmanship with couture-led design. Since that renaissance, our handcrafted leathers and bespoke fits have been coveted by actors, politicians and senior bureaucrats, becoming a quietly unmistakable emblem of Indian luxury
